CHRISTMAS is so much more than all the holiday traditions and festivities that fill this time of year. Christmas is a commemoration of the greatest of all gifts ever given. Christmas is God doing for us what we cannot do for ourselves…
It is His MERCY:
“But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, in order that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.” Galatians 4:4-5
It is His MIRACLE:
“Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which translated means: ‘God with us.’” Matthew 1:23
“For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.” John 1:1-2
“And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14
“And Mary gave birth to her first-born Son; and wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.” Luke 2:7
It is His MESSAGE:
Behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which shall be for al the people; for today in the city of David there has been for you a Savior who is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:10-11
“He was in the world and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name; who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of man, but of God.”
John 1:10-13
“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12
O come all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem!
Come and behold Him, born the King of angels
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord!
“Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!” 2 Corinthians 9:15
