“It is good to give thanks to the LORD and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High.” (Psalm 92:1) Giving thanks and praise to the LORD is good or beneficial for each one of us to do. We know it is proper to express gratitude and thankfulness to those who have done something for us that has benefited us or delighted us in some way or another. How much more is it appropriate to express gratitude and thanksgiving to the LORD. In reality, what do we have. that we have not received from Him since “every good thing given has come from the Father of LIghts” to bless and provide for us. (James 1:17) In addition, giving thanks to the Lord is also beneficial to the one expressing such gratitude. “It’s not happy people who are grateful, but grateful people who are happy.” (Anon) Giving thanks to the Lord impacts and adjusts our whole attitude as we go through life. I trust that your Thanksgiving is filled with genuine praise and gratitude to the One from whom all blessings flow. And if you are able, I invite you to come worship with us on Sunday morning at 10:30 as we seek to glorify His holy name.
